Ministère de la Transition Écologique

The general mission of the Ecological Transition is to prepare and implement government policy in all areas related to ecology, energy transition and the protection of biodiversity.

The particularity of this ministry is that it has a network of 12 schools, including five engineering schools, which constitute public establishments under supervision. For example, the National School of Bridges and Roads (ENPC) and the National School of Civil Aviation (ENAC) are part of this network of graduate schools for sustainable development.

In 2017, the budget of the Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition amounted to 35 billion euros, including more than 14 billion dedicated to the energy transition.
